Keep the purchase timeline visible
Share your inspection deadline and access arrangements when enquiring. Availability must be confirmed by the operator; submitting an enquiry does not book an inspection.
- Contract or inspection deadline
- Agent or seller access arrangements
- Property type and known concerns
Know what the report covers
Confirm whether you need a termite-only inspection or a broader timber pest inspection. A building condition inspection is a separate service unless expressly included.
- Accessible areas and limitations
- Evidence of timber pest activity or damage
- Recommended further investigation
Review findings before deciding
Read the limitations as well as the findings. Discuss any concealed areas, recommended investigations or future management requirements with the inspector.
- Request clarification of unclear findings
- Keep the report for your records
- Discuss contract questions with your adviser
Common questions
Is a termite inspection the same as building and pest?
No. Confirm exactly which inspections and reports are included; a building inspection may need a separate professional.
Can you meet my settlement deadline?
Include your deadline in the enquiry. Appointment and report timing are subject to operator confirmation.
